The Ninjas were created because the peasants were mistreated by the samurai (peasants were the ninjas). So the peasants developed a secret fighting force and today they are called the ninjas. The ninjas ultimate goal was to beat the samurai. Ninjas were different from samurai in many ways, first off, the ninjas didn't follow the Bushido. The Bushido is a code that requires a fair an honorable fight, so that means no teaming up (2 vs. 1), but the ninjas would team up on you 5 vs. 1 if that is what it would take, the samurai wouldn't do that because they follow the Bushido. Also, the Ninjas would like to sneak up on you in the dark and use the shadows as their weapon, the samurai wouldn't due that because a fair and honorable fight does not include sneaking up on someone or using shadows. The Samurai prefer an open field 1 vs. 1 fight, the ninjas do not because they like to sneak up on you and stab you in the back when you least expect it.
