For food in Ourense, you can't go past the ADEGA-Ourense. The winery is located in the Puente district, just 15 minutes from downtown. The restaurant offers delicious dishes and great service for reasonable prices. It serves a wide variety of wines. In addition to delicious food, you can also enjoy an aperitif or a glass of local wine. The aperitif or wine is a good idea, especially if you are visiting the area for the first time.
In 1979, the ADEGA delegation in Ourense was formed. Environmental problems were plaguing the city, so a group of concerned citizens decided to organize a group of locals who were interested in environmental issues. The first meetings were held in 1980, and the ADEGA was reorganized in 2003. At that time, members from other cities across Spain joined. Today, the ADEGA has several member cities in the region.

Adega Ourense is located near Puente Romano and the Rio Mino. The building is on the Avenida de las Caldas, which is the old city street in Ourense. Parking is available at the Ourense train station and on Eulogio Gomez Franqueira, which is 5 minutes' walk away. The ADEGA Ourense has a thriving winery and is a good place to stay if you're visiting the area.
