I think that the majority of Asians go through some form of discrimination on a daily basis. Whether it's verbally or systematic racism, most Asian Americans experience it.

12. Why are the majority of these attacks on elderly people?
I'm unsure as to why the majority of these attacks targeted Asian American seniors. I think it's because they're not physically able to defend themselves compared to the younger population.
13. Do you think that the rise of Asian hate became worse after the covid pandemic?
There's been a boost in hate crimes targeted towards Asians so yes.
14. In president Donald Trump's speech about covid 19, when he said "Chinese virus" do you think that had to do with Trump's supporters being more hostile towards Asians?
I think that Trump's usage of "Chinese virus" encouraged aggressive behavior towards Asians because it shifts the attention to Asians specifically and emphasizes the blame on them.
15. Seeing videos of Asian Americans being attacked, what do you now view the current situation and how you used to view it before?
I never thought too much about it because I personally never experienced any myself and it wasn't brought to light until recently, but now that I see what's going on, it saddens me that people would do harm to others.
16. Why does Asian lives matter being recognized now, why was it sooner
I think that the Stop AAPI Hate movement is being recognized more now than before because there's been a significant rise in attacks directed towards Asians.
17. Do you think that it is people's fault for not wearing a mask when the asian community is the one to blame for the virus
