In an attempt to break the silence and bordem, Sykuno spoke up. "So, um, what do you think of this whole situation?"
George just kind of looked at him with sad eyes and confusion, so Sykuno specified.
"Two masked men show up, probably to rob us, then bring us into their house."
"Well, I don't really know. life for me has gotten to the point where whatever happens, happens." George responds completely truthfully
Sykkuno didn't know how to feel about the response, he was always an optimistic person and wanted George to see the 'glass half full' side of the problem, or equation rather.
Sykkuno and George didn't know when the two masked men were getting home, so they decided to tidy up a bit as a thank you.
George attached old fabric (that he found in the neighboring house's yard), to a broom handle Sykkuno found laying around the house.
The two boys used this as a duster to dust off various things like the countertops, or chairs.
Once they were finished, they decided to sit down on the couch and talk about several random things, before hearing something.
sort of like a knock but it was clearly accidental.
George would have been scared if it wasn't for the weapons that Dream and Corpse gave the two boys. I could also be Dream and Corpse, considering they never specified what time they would be back.
But these few semi-comforting thoughts completely slipped his mind once they heard a stick outside break and saw a shadow.

once the stick broke, Sykkuno and George looked at each other in order to confirm they both heard that. Out of the corner of his eye, George thought he might have seen someone.
"wouldn't Dream or Coprse had said something by now if it was actually them?
Geoge didn't know, ad maybe didn't even want to. he grabbed Sykkunos' hand and dragged him upstairs quicker than light.
