A lot of people today know America as a country with a great economy and no discrimination. Is this really it? Partially. America is one of the largest economies in the world and a country with a lot of jobs. But this situation is only for people with a good education. If you are a bad educated person, your salary is not enough to live. For example, a woman named Vanessa moved with her family from her place of housing for some reason with her 3 children. But it took years to move into her own home. If unemployment is very low in America, then what's the problem? There are a lot of job opportunities in the United States, yes but uneducated people cannot have their needs such as accommodation, food and clothing. Just like Vanessa. One of the reasons for this situation may be the lack of worker solidarity. In the past, uneducated workers in America had large unions and could afford basic needs, but nowadays this is very little. If poor working people have an effective union today, maybe they can have their basic needs more easily. I just said poor. Who is a poor person? I think if you don't have the house, the car, the money and the happiness, you are poor. Also, these people are mostly mothers or fathers. They all have a family and they have to care her/him childrens. Most of them work in heavy jobs without promotion opportunities. Just like emptying trash cans. How can a father or mother working in these conditions take care of their family? Do banks give loans to these people? Also, another issue is the wrong thinking of Americans who are not poor. Educated Americans think these people are not in the workforce. however, studies show that most of them are in the workforce. This situation is similar in the UK. Poverty years ago is the same as today's poverty in UK. So there is NO improvement. Another issue is that black people work in poor jobs than white people. This is called DISCRIMINATION. In addition there is discrimination between men and women. In America women work in poor jobs, more than men. Finally, poverty is not a shame and people should not be ashamed of talking about their personal finance situation. We must break this taboo. I hope one day we see a world where everyone works fairly.
