No, set maximum upload rate to 9999 if you're seeding for ratio on private tracker (simply just to share to peers). Afaik, the main things you want to do (only faster uploading btw, and slightly slower downloading) for a high upload speed to boost ratio stats, after much testing on PC/Windows 8, these help the most in utorrent (as far as changing the "preferences" settings allow for increased upload speeds):
Queueing:
- Set maximum number of active torrents and (upload or download) to: Equal to the total amount of torrents you currently plan to seeding, or more (so if you have 1000 torrents to seed, then type 1000 at least). THIS IS IMPORTANT IF YOU NEED TO SEED 100+ TORRENTS, especially if you're planning on getting ratio, if you don't do it you'll get your torrent's status stuck to "Queued Seeding" which won't count as seeding and possibly end up becoming a hit and run on private tracker (almost got me banned from somewhere in fact xD).

-Seeding tasks have higher priority than downloading tasks: CHECKED (ANOTHER IMPORTANT FEATURE, obviously needed for high upload speed

-The rest under "Queueing": can be default or setup guide values (everytime using the setup guide, change all the other settings I listed back to what I've said, set up guide usually changes only the max upload rate and max number of active torrents)

Connection/Listening Port :
-check all except "Randomize port each start"

Bandwidth:
- Set maximum upload rate to: 9999 Also VERY important, give a boost of speed to uploads, speaks for itself pretty much)

- Use additional upload slots... (check)

-Apply rate limit to uTP Connections: Check

-Number of Connections (for all): use default, or I recommend just let the setup guide decide (again, everytime using the setup guide, change all the other settings I listed back to what I've said)

-Leave everything else mentioned for "Bandwidth" category unchecked

-Check all "basic bittorrent features" except "limit local peer bandwidth"

-Outgoing: Enabled

-Allow incoming legacy connections: Check

The rest underneath bandwidth doesn't really need any changes whatsoever, do all that I've said ^^ above ^^ for high uploading settings under "preferences".
