They can who think they can. This specific statement has a deeper meaning than any other random quote about perseverance. This line means that if we have a positive approach towards our goals and endeavours, then even the impossible may become possible with hard work and constant efforts. It means knowing and realising your worth and believing in achieving something that you desire. Sometimes, we try a pessimist's approach towards things and discourage ourselves to such a level that we sometimes end up in the situation we imagined. I've always been taught that if I think I can do it, the outcome of the situation would be similar to what I would've aspired it to be. A similar incident once happened to me. We had a football tournament going on in which we lost the first two matches. Everybody's morale was down. Even I was quite upset about the fact that we may get disqualified out of the tournament. We played the last game with all the anger and frustration we had been carrying since the previous match. The next match was with the team which was coming first on the leaderboard, which meant they didn't lose any match till now. This made us more scared. That's when our coach came into the play and told us that if we play like dispirited souls out there, we might lose our last hope to qualify for the quarter-finals. He tried his best to lift everyone's mood. The night before the match, we weren't discussing strategy instead, we were playing cards and just enjoying our time since our coach wanted us to feel a bit motivated and fresh for tomorrow's match. The next day everyone was confident enough to play our game. Our coach didn't guide us in this match. He told us to play like a team and do whatever we could. We won this match by a score of 2-0. We qualified for the quarter-finals. Even though we came third in the whole tournament, our coach was proud of the fact that we thought we could do it, and we did it.
