Hi, my name is Sophia and the career that I chose was a small animal veterinarian.

I chose this career to do my project on because right now, that is my career goal and something that I want to pursue.

Small animal vets generally treat and diagnose illness or injury in animals. They might also work on surgeries, dental work, or euthanization, and typically work with animals such as dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, or other small animals.

There are vets that treat livestock and work in the agriculture field. They can treat and help maintain the health of farm animals as well as common house pets.

The most interesting thing that stood out to me was when I watched the video and the Doctor was talking about the problem of rising suicide rates. I did not know that it was such a major issue in this field and I will definitely remember and take this into consideration.
I am currently considering working in this career because I want to be in the medical field and I love animals so I decided to pursue both.
If I could change the career I would change it so that there is less burnout and compassion fatigue. In the video, she also talked about those two topics which are major occurrences as well.
