What similarities and differences are there in the two communications?

The good news that I recently got was my employment confirmation. I received the email in which it was mentioned that:
Hi Vivek,
Welcome to Red River Co-op!
We are excited for you as you are appointed as a Bakery Clerk for our new location which is Seasons Of Tuxedo. We are happy to hear from you that are you interested in this job or not? Please reply back as soon as possible.

This good news was very good for me as I got this email after applying for 50+ jobs and after 10 interviews. This is like fruit for me. I was very happy at that time and replied to the mail within 5 minutes with the answer 'Yes, I am interested' as this is my first job in Canada. The language that the Bakery manager used is direct and easy to understand. The tone of communication is joyful as in the starting it was mentioned that 'Welcome to Red River Co-op'.
The bad news that I got was my visa rejected. I got an email in which it was mentioned that:
Dear Vivek Jain,
Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit, I am refusing for application. However, you are welcome to reapply.

This bad news was very bad for me as I was struggling with my visa for the last 4 months. Also, I was waiting for a visa due to which I raised the deferral request in University. The officer did not start with the bad news and also provides the alternative. The tone from the officer's side is calm but for me, it is a kind of a nightmare.
The main similarity in both communications is the medium of communication which is email. Also, I was crying in both communication but the reason was different. The difference in both communications is the feeling I got after reading the email. One email gives positive vibes and the other gives negative.
