Now contrary to popular belief, policies for each university can be bent just a little and more often than not... it is.
Let's say you are planning to take a CLEP exam in Biology but there would be absolutely no way to have it done before registration is over. In other words, your exam would occur after class registration.
There are only 9 more spots in the class but the policy requires you complete Biology 101 or in this case take the Biology CLEP exam before you sign up as a prerequisite.
Just about every student would believe they are out of luck and skip signing up.
What would we recommend?
Simply email the professor or dean and explain your situation.
They will either say no, allow you to register, or drop prerequisite for all students seeking to register for that course.

I plan to take my exam in 2 weeks but registration closes in 6 days. Could you waive prerequisite requirements to allow me to enroll in your class?
Thank you"
Remember that the worst that could be said is no. Let us be clear... we do not mean you should try to be a doctor with a GED. we do mean that you should apply for scholarships even if you are not qualified.
