Hi! This is the last vlog, number 4. Over the course of the last week and a half, I've focused a lot more on being productive, which is the virtue I chose to work on. The vices are overworking and laziness. This assignment was easy in that it was easy to focus on my task of trying to stay productive. The challenging part was acting on my words and finding things to do that would aid me in the future, down the line. I felt more pulled towards the vice of laziness than overworking. Due to the pandemic, we are more prone to doing less work, and that's what I've been aiming to fix. I think I did pretty well in re-evaluating my stances on this virtue, because I found myself thinking about what I could do and what I shouldn't do with my time. I can actively grow with this virtue to come out of this crisis better than I went in, as stated by Pope Francis, by keeping it in the back of my mind at all times. I should also be able to take a few minutes to evaluate what I'll be doing with every activity I begin, and how long it should take. Overall, I learned that changing a vice into a virtue is not easy work; it requires dedication and constant mental focus to change those habits. However, once it does happen, it not only impacts you but those around you! I learned that I have the capacity to be productive, just that I have to choose to and be dedicated.
