Inter-House Quidditch Cup

Pre-1910s
Minerva McGonagall, like her mother, was a gifted Quidditch player, who represented Gryffindor during her time at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Minerva had a nasty fall in her final year (a foul during the Gryffindor versus Slytherin match, which would decide the Quidditch Cup winner) and left her with a concussion, several broken ribs, and a lifelong desire to see Slytherin crushed on the Quidditch pitch.

1966–1967 school year
The final match of the season was played between Gryffindor and another house team, and Ethan Parkin played for one of the two teams. The final score of the match was 570-580, with Ethan Parkin's team winning after scoring ten points with the help of the Power Play tactic and their Seeker catching the Snitch. Multiple fouls were committed during the match.[12]

1988–1989 school year
There was some rescheduling of games. A Gryffindor-Ravenclaw match was played at least twice, meaning it was likely something happened to cause a rematch. The second Gryffindor-Ravenclaw match was shortly after the Slytherin-Hufflepuff match.[18][19] Gryffindor did not win the Quidditch Cup.
