The easiest way to enter college as a sophomore or beyond is to take exams beforehand at the university of your choice. Make sure to never put all of your eggs in one basket because we really never know what can happen in the future. Covid caught us all by surprise. This simply means be prepared to transfer to other schools if needed.
By being a transfer student with more credits than Freshmen classification, it does bring benefits. For one, you will likely be able to take more classes. For example 5 as a freshmen but 6 as a sophomore. Also if you stay on campus, you in some, but not all cases, be eligible for single housing because many campuses mandate freshmen have a roommate which can be stressful at times.
This naturally leads to a big question: should you test first or enroll first? The choice is yours but we recommend you test first. If you test, you can get enough credits beforehand to be admitted as a transfer student. This allows you to get perhaps better financial aid. For example, Freshman may receive 4 thousand in aid while sophomores may receive 4 thousand 200 in aid. This is an example but it is true most of the time. When it comes to loans, it's especially true. Freshmen receive less than sophomores on average.
