Which BA tasks and activities have you performed in your current or past job? How do these compare with what your peers do in other organizations?

According to me, analysing the needs and providing solutions to an organisation is an important task for the Business Analyst. I used to work as a customer service representative in 'Flipkart' which is one of the largest e-commerce company in India. Once one customer came and said he wants to return the product as the product he received was broken and wants the refund for the same. So, that time i analysed the need what customer wants and why he wants. Then i checked the policy for giving the refund as customer demands. Sometimes, the customer wants the refund without any reason. Once all checks were done, i initiated the refund. Also, the system keeps the track of the returned products. In case the one product was frequently returned, then i used to analyse the issue whether it's from manufacturing defect or any other issue. So for that i used to send the survey to the customers who returned that product. Once the issue detected, the respective team will handle the issue . I'd like to tell you about my friend is a Software Developer. He told me that he listens to the needs what a client wants in the software . After analysing, he develops the software as per the needs of the client.
