Rai suddenly stopped- for in a moment of rage- he had admitted the one thing he wasn't supposed to.
"Oh, it won't?" Darius inquired. "Then tell me, if she doesn't bear the seal of Adam, who does?"
Rai couldn't answer. Would he risk Pandora's safety, just to save his friend? If Pandora were to get hurt... he couldn't fathom what he would do... But... Darius would find another way.
"...I do," whispered Rai.
"Oh, forgive me if I didn't hear you right, but... it was you?" Darius asked, tightening the ropes around Danielle. So... this girl... she is useless to me, yes?
"...Don't do it, Darius!" Rai pleaded.
"First Ezrah. Then Chris. And your beloved pupil, Samantha. Then I took Noelle from you. And Salana. And now, once I take her... you'll be all alone." Darius suggested.
"No! Don't hurt her! Take me, please!" Rai begged. Rai took a knee, casting his bow aside. He was no match for Darius.
"The mighty Rai, finally learning his place. Even when you were a general, and I, your superior. You never kneeled to me. It's good to see you like this. Pathetic. Losing another person you care about will remind you forever- the day you learned respect"
Darius picked up Danielle's shield, and unlatched it's core. The end fell off, revealing her signature weapon- a massive blade. He thrust the blade forward, cutting the ropes... staining them in blood.
