In my undergraduate writing and even today in both my writings and speeches, I always try to follow a simple rule: 1. Tell people what you are going to talk or write about; 2. Tell it to them; and 3. Conclude with a summary of what you just talked about.
In politics it takes lawyers to write laws. This bothers me more than a little. It is also the primary reason I don't like lawyers to be elected for office. Most presidents are brad cohen lawyer (Obama), most of the senate is made up of lawyers, the house is full of lawyers, and don't forget the Supreme Court - all lawyers. Right now every branch of government is controlled by lawyers.
Choosing amongst auto accident attorneys isn't so much about studying a win-loss ranking sheet (if such a thing existed) or comparing them on a sheet of specs, like you might buy a DVD player. It's about finding the right lawyer with you. One way to do that is to simply set up some meetings. Present the case you're working with and see what they have to say. You'll know in short order whether or not they are excited about taking on your case. After all, most auto accident attorneys work on a contingency basis. They don't get paid until there is a settlement or a judgment. They can't afford to take on losing cases, which means they can and will be selective about which ones they agree to take.
As an example, if you want to live in a big house and you let your mind think positively about it, that will get your law of attraction going. However, if you let negative thoughts such as taxes, recession, tight budgets and stress creep into your mind, your reality quickly becomes a negative one and the law of attraction won't work for you.
One of the easiest questions is to ask how much your medical malpractice case is worth. If the lawyer gives you some fairly specific dollar amount or a small range of dollars, the lawyer may be less than honest. At residential lawyers near me , no one can really tell what your case is worth because so much depends on the facts of your case (the facts in every case are different), and, at the beginning, the lawyer doesn't know all of the facts. An honest lawyer will tell you that he/she just cannot say at the beginning what your case is worth. In fact, the lawyer will probably tell you that first, the lawyer must make sure that you do have a case.
Third put a lot of thought into the "headline" and sub-headings in the brochure. With brochures for lawyers if you can put a benefit statement or a question in the headline it is best. You need a headline that "grabs" the person thus pulling them into the piece. Then you need sub-headings that are "grabbers" as well. Why? Most people do not read a brochure when they first look at it. They skim the brochure reading the headline and then the sub-headings before they make a decision about reading the brochure. If you don't get them at the headline they won't even read the sub-headings. Poor sub-headings you won't get them to read the brochure. You certainly don't want your brochure headline to be something like "Law Offices of Henry M. Harlow and Associates" or something similar.
