Music from other cultures is my favorite thing to enjoy whenever I'm feeling bored. It helps me feel happier.

It's the truth. I must admit, sometimes when I'm feeling blue and blue, I'll be on Youtube checking out random music, random tracks that are that are popular in different countries. A few of these make me giggle, as it can be an unexpected surprise.. Just because languages can seem funny to you, doesn't mean it won't make me smile. Russian. I was raised to be a Russian citizen. Since then, I've lived in USA. Therefore, I've learned a lot of different languages. Some languages make me giggle like a child every when I view their videos. Music is not a major factor since I am focused on the language and the emotions rather than the music. French, Turkish Rap and Hip Hop are especially funny to me. Russian recitatives. Spanish hard rock. Chinese heavy metal. While some of these may not be real, all countries go through similar development steps. Similar music genres flow across different cultures. That's what I like..

Sometimes, I make a roadtrip playlist. To save my favorite Youtube videos, I use online converters for mp3s since the Internet isn't always open. I tend to skip these tracks because I am more interested by folklore from my own area, which is not available on the American radio. Russian music seems slightly forced to me. Perhaps it's because I've lived for a large portion of my time in the United States and yet Russian music always seemed odd to me. I don't know. I like it, but often find it to be a bit superficial.


However, I do enjoy the variety of music that comes from all over the world. This is why I suggest you try it out too. It's quite refreshing and at times, even hilarious.
