Craps

Understanding the probabilities, or the combinations of dice is crucial to understanding the math of craps. We only want to make the most likely bets. These include the pass line with odds and come bets with chances.

The house percentage of craps is the lowest casino game. Take single odds on come and pass lines reduces the house percent to 0.8 %... double and further reduces it to 0.06 Triple odds. Further, it drops to 0.0.5 quad odds which reduces it further to 0.0.5 %.... The game is almost even if you take 10 to 100 odds.

At seminars, I am often asked why place and come bets aren't as profitable as they used to be. The answer lies within the dice combinations. This point can be illustrated by a place bet. If you place a bet directly upon the number 5, (aka place wager), you can only win on any of these four dice combinations: 4-1, 2-3 and 3-2. That's it! The bet loses if a 7, which is the sum of six dice combinations, is rolled. Based on just the dice combinations, it's 6-4 or 3-4 against you.

Let's now look at a come wager. When playing video games come wager is in the coming area, it wins with a seven or eleven for a total number of eight dice combinations. It loses with a 2, 3 and 12 for a total loss of four dice combinations. You win 6 to 4, or 2:1 in your favor for the instant win, and you lose 1. Baccarat is known as a negative expectation game (the same as craps, roulette, and other). This means that the house always has the advantage. It means that the odds of the house always favor the player mathematically. This is possible only with perfect blackjack card counting (which, of course, doesn't let them let you win much).

You can win at baccarat by following the trends. A trend will develop in any random or near random series of events. Remember, you will not have sufficient lay to establish real probability numbers, since these depend on lots of play to reach statistical significance. It is possible to be biased in one direction. For instance, 50% more bankers could play than players. (Which would be great, by the way).
