Immediately following graduation from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Nicholas began his accounting career as a Staff Accountant with Exceptional Customer Service (ECS, formerly known as Edwin C. Siegel) Financial Services. ECS Financial was started in 1962 as a traditional accounting firm. Today, more than five decades later, ECS has expanded into a full-service accounting firm that offers so much more than traditional accounting. Located in Northbrook, Illinois, a northern suburb of Chicago, ECS works with clients world-wide.

As a Staff Accountant working for a full-service CPA firm, Nicholas works serves three main roles on ECS's accounting teams. In addition, Nicholas's everyday activities consistently have him working on various research projects for the company. Nicholas's largest projects. This includes Sales Tax Matrix project consisting of five employees collaborating to do research at the state level on how to report vehicle and non-titled sales taxes in different contexts, providing new links to information and providing support to evidence of rules/regulations found. Another large project includes Nicholas's XCM task SUT registration/license renewal task creation assignment where Nicholas created deliverables for tasks in our internal cloud-based workflow system, while adding tasks containing the deliverables of each clients based on the license renewals a client has to prepare on an annual basis.
