He dedicated his life to achieving equality for all.
He soon became part of the Montgomery Bus Boycott. It began after Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white passenger. Finally, courts ruled that segregation on buses was illegal. This was one of many victories for Martin and his fight for equality.
As president of the group, Southern Christian Leadership Conference, Martin traveled around the country giving speeches about peaceful protests and civil rights. On August 28, 1963, Martin delivered his famous “I Have a Dream” speech at the March on Washington. This peaceful rally hosted 250,000 people in Washington, D.C. Martin spoke of freedom and equality for all. Thanks to Martin, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was passed, which outlawed discrimination based on color, race, gender, and religion.

The article was mainly about how you should treat everybody equally.

Equality is to treat everybody or everything the same way. A clue to support my inference is he wrote a speech dedicated to wanting to be treated the same way as white people get treated.

The first way Martin Luther King Junior fought for equal rights was for 381 days, Martin and other activists refused to use buses. The second way Martin Luther King Junior fought for equal rights was he became part of the Montgomery Bus Boycott. The third way Martin Luther King Junior fought for equal rights was on August 28, 1963, he delivered his famous “I Have a Dream” speech at the March on Washington. The fourth way Martin Luther King Junior fought for equal rights was Martin Luther King wanted to change unfair laws that discriminated against African Americans without using violence.
