The times are hard. I have a difficult time trying to navigate this new world of gig economy just as well as the traditional one. I used to do very well prior to the outbreak of the pandemic and in addition to my regular job as a dental assistant I have to accept an evening security job at a local machine production plant that is close to where I live. It's almost entirely automated. The workers are there throughout the day as I and two engineers make up the night team. I've got an emergency phone number I can dial in the event of any problem or if machinery suddenly stops working. I contact engineers, or call the outside line to get more engineers. I do nothing. They're not generating any value in this regard. Therefore, night guard is really just an unimportant switchboard operator.
It's quiet and peaceful and I find it enjoyable. It's quiet. While I'm not a very sleepy person, I find it quite spooky. It's boring to spend the night and try new things to help it go by faster. I've spent the past two weeks perfecting a routine I saw on Tik Tok. It's easy, but it's hard for me to recreate the dance. The dance was created by a young girl on Tik Tok. I don't know how to describe that stuff, I am old..
Recently I've been trying different car fixing videos. I don't have the ability to immediately apply them to my car but I love seeing other people make their cars stop-stopping. DIY videos are also informative and easy to follow. Another problem occurred. Sooner or later internet stopped functioning on my phone, and I was unable to watch anything or perform any other useful activity whatsoever, as we've all seen these days, nothing works without internet, even those fast and easy "do it yourself" videos.... and I came across a fantastic solution: preparation.. I learned the method to download Youtube videos onto my mobile. And, when the internet was off for hours, I was able to easily watch DIY videos directly via my smartphone. It doesn't matter that you're watching it on your phone, no matter if you streaming it from a site or some place online, or download video at home, and then stream it on your smartphone when there's no wifi or any online access. more info It's as easy as DVR for your online videos, not just TV shows.
My pure joy at watching new episodes and movies directly to my laptop is a testimony to the effectiveness of television. I've started taking my laptop into work since it has a larger screen and superior speakers, making it more enjoyable to watch TV on there. I joined HULU as well as Netflix. They allow you both to download their app. After a time depending on the length of the program, quality choices, and other aspects the show will be downloaded onto the device. This makes it accessible anytime, anyplace, even without internet access. I even now watch television while riding to work, it's only 15 minutes long, however it allows me to go back and watch some of the episodes I fell asleep to the night before.
There are numerous interesting or educational materials I can find at home and take to work. It makes my day go much quicker. Youtube's webinars are wonderful. However, it's hard to stay focused on the message even when interrupted many times. That's what I'm talking about... You'll be able to see what I'm saying.
Sometimes, I drive my son to work. My wife's night shift isn't until late, so it's hard for me stay home with my child. I accompany him and put him in front of the computer screens to monitor my work. In a matter of hours, he's asleep. But when he wakes, I give him my laptop, along with a few of those freshly downloaded music videos. And as he's watching those crazy young artists do their weird stuff on screen and he's happy. I'm happy to keep doing my own thing via the phone.. Doing our own thing is how we work better together. He loves to go with me. This could be due to the fact that the time he is up all night and that's what kids want.
