Before you decide to join a game, you should always consider your bankroll. Different people will have different perspectives so you need find what works best for you. I do not think you buy-in to a live game with less than 100 BB (big-blinds). Some people feel more comfortable with 50BB. Others believe you should bring in more. This buy-in should not be more than 10% of your bankroll. Online gaming can offer some very low limit games. I believe you should reduce this buy-in limit.
