Trauma Reenactment Therapy Alternative: See How The MAP Method Resolves Trauma
Trauma reenactment therapy is a type of therapy focused on treating trauma at its core. By focusing on the core, this reenactment therapy helps traumatized patients slowly begin their journey to recovery.

…but before we dive all the way into that, let me ask you to take a few seconds to scroll down and see the link to our host’s website. This episode’s host is KaKi Lee of “The Awakened Feminine” podcast! During this episode KaKi asks Colette Streicher questions about The MAP Method, and the reasons why it is so powerful for trauma resolution. Now let’s get back to our topic:

Re-live traumatic experiences? Yes indeed. In some cases, trauma reenactment therapy can involve patients needing to go through the details of incidents with a mental health professional in order to incrementally resolve that particular facet of the trauma. However, there is good news, which is that The MAP Method does not require the re-living process. Stay tuned for more details!

Trauma reenactment is also a process, according to some therapists, whereby a person’s choices lead them to subconsciously repeat previous traumas. For instance, a person who experienced an abusive parent as a child who chooses an abusive partner would be an example of this form of trauma re-enactment.

Reliving these traumatic experiences, on a subconscious level, gives the person an opportunity to have a second chance at that experience and handle it differently, but in many cases, leads to even more trauma, as the person gets stuck in a pattern.

There is so much more we could cover! Watch for future videos that cover the ways The MAP Method relates to these topics:
-trauma reenactment triangle
-compulsive trauma reenactment
