Play Tai Sai – A Strategy to Win
Sic Bo, also known as tai sai or ding said big and low, is basically a contest of pure luck from ancient Chinese nature, played on three dice. Chuck-a-luck and grand hazard are similar variants, both of English origins. The literal meaning of hi-low dice is "little dice", while dai was and dai so are the more commonly used ones. Each side has a number of cards. The cards can range from one up to nine. Three additional cards are available for each player, which is called a "chi" or rin. All cards are laid face up on the table.

One player takes the numbered card on the flop, and the other must call. If there is no call on the flop, the person who called first will win the amount of the caller's bid, plus the amount of the bets of the second caller, called the triple bet. Thus, in order to win, the player who calls first must win the amount of the triple bet plus the remainder of the regular bets of all other players, called the full bet.

If the triple bet wins, then the player who called first will stay in, regardless of the final outcome of the round. All players who placed their bets prior to the call are expelled and the winner must pay the house edge. The actual payout and the odds of winning may be adjusted slightly for convenience. The house edge is the difference between the final odds for a draw and the odds for a house win. This makes it easier for you to understand the numbers.

The random lottery is the best part of Tai Sai. It can be a lot fun, especially if your dealer is a skilled bettor. You will soon be able to create your own layouts as you become more familiar with the Sic Bo game.

However, just because the random selection is random does not mean it cannot have some relevance for the game. The game can be thrown off balance by the dealer's skill in mixing up the numbers as well as his/her dice accuracy. Randomizing the card counter numbers can be done as well. Random number generation is also a factor in the ancient Chinese game Baccarat. Here, players dealt a single face card and used a dice to roll the numbers on their card counters. This method of picking numbers was originally created to make gambling more difficult since it is impossible not to predict what number will appear.

When playing tai sai, one of the advantages of using the dealer is that the dealer can afford to offer you more chips than you might otherwise be able to. Remember that this game is a game where luck is your friend. If the numbers on your cards are bad, you will simply lose more chips than you have already collected. However, when you play tai sai with a good dealer who rolls the dice accurately, you stand a much better chance of winning big money.

The best way to get the most value from Sic Bo is by betting small. This applies to both the standard game in which you wager the same amount of chips as you would have won if you won the hand, as well the bonus rounds, where players earn bonus points for placing bets. For example, the third highest stake in a multi-table tournament will win three times the amount raised. This holds true for both the regular game and the bonus rounds. If you only have a few combinations to choose from, it can be a good idea to place small bets.

As we have already mentioned, you can use the dealer when playing tai-sai. You can also choose to deal alone at the table. This allows you to use the dealer's luck (or lack thereof) to your advantage.
