An Innovative Approach to Poststroke Upper Limb Spasticity
My favorite crystal is the Tui Na Crystal. When I first received my crystal, I noticed immediately how soft and cool it felt. I felt very relaxed and my body reacted with an incredibly warm sensation. When I first met Tui Na, it was clear right away that this was something I wanted to make a difference in my life.

This fine quartz crystal can be used to ease tension and stress and also stimulate the glands and organs in your body. Tui Na is a combination of pressure and rhythmic manipulation of your soft tissue and the meridian energy in the body's Acupuncture points. Tui Na is generally thought of as an external treatment, as well as the use of moxibustion, cupping, as well as yoga. Tui Na massage has numerous positive effects, including the capacity to decrease anxiety levels as well as boost mood.

Tui Na therapy is used for thousands of years. The notion that Tui Na therapy that worked wonders to repair fractured bones was an integral part of the ancient Chinese practice. Chinese scientists presented their findings of their research at the recent national gathering on alternative therapies and medical care. Researchers reported that tui na had a profound antispastic action, which reduced the size and weight of damaged tissue. Furthermore, it improved the function of the kidneys and liver, as well as the spleen, colon and pancreas.

In the United States, many stroke patients have seen benefits from using the stone. According to Swedish experts, Tui Na's antispastic effects were found promising for improving the neurologic function of stroke patients. It also has relaxation due to the remarkable effects it has on skin and muscles. Thus, Chinese medicine advocates are now offering it for patients who have suffered strokes or other forms of brain injury. This is significant because the evidence is mounting that na therapy can help lower the deaths of patients who suffer from strokes, especially older individuals.

In fact, the Chinese medicine advocates have long been advocating its use with traditional rehabilitation. In spite of this recommendation however, it was only in the last few years that large, thoroughly-designed clinical studies have demonstrated the advantages that patients gain by combining Na therapy along with exercises for rehabilitation and massage. These trials have shown that those who received both Tui Na stones and Rehabilitative massage had three-fold higher chance of achieving full recovery over those who received traditional medical attention. The trial took place in the UK with up to 500 stroke patients.

The study was conducted by researchers at the University of Glasgow in the UK, patients suffering from spasticity in the upper limbs were managed with conventional medical treatment or massage and le Chi (chi acupuncture) or Tui Na (chi gong or tui-na tea). Both groups had similar results regarding the amount of recovery time required from their condition, as well as substantial improvement in the function of their bodies and range of movement. There was however a significant difference between the two groups with regards to the degree of improvement in patients receiving treatment with Tui Na stones in comparison to patients that received only medical attention. Researchers found that patients using the Tui Na stones showed a more significant improvement in their motor performance that was evident upon post-operative day one.

The Glasgow study is important because it provides the first evidence that the na may improve function in the absence of conventional medical treatments. It also provides the first evidence that the NA can boost recovery for people suffering from spasticity in the upper limbs and also improve the function of muscles, while decreasing the risk of problems. As the study was conducted in a very small sample of patients, it's unclear whether its use will result in any lasting effects for patients. However, it is well-known that the na may be used in lieu to prescribed medication for people experiencing chronic diseases such as muscular dystrophy or chronic fatigue syndrome.

In conclusion, the Glasgow study further proves that the na can be an important and reliable complement to treatment for patients that have suffered stroke or have developed poststroke upper limb spasticity. The study's findings are noteworthy, particularly that patients who received medical treatments only experienced greater risk of negative results after the use of tui-na. This study confirms the necessity for tui na to be used in the process of rehabilitation following stroke, or different orthotic process.
