The Professional Gambler
I want to start out by telling you who this article is about, or, more specifically, what it is not about. The professional gambler does not make much announcements or make himself the center of attention. He or she will not be the one who is making extravagant bets for high-rollers. No, the real pro is a quiet, reserved, serious player. Professional gamblers know that to stay ahead, it is necessary to consider gambling as an enterprise; a profit-making business.


Professional gamblers don't "go out for a whole day (or evening) of betting." The pro wouldn't assume that they'd be playing all the night. A professional usually makes a decision within 30 minutes whether they will continue playing or cease. When a professional gambler goes to gamble, it's solely to succeed, not to amuse his or her friends. This is work. It's work. It is true that there is no way to know the time it will take to be successful enough (or lose enough), but the pro will know when either one of those limits is exceeded and will possess the determination to know when it is and react accordingly.

There is a chance that you have played with professionals at times. video games to forget that. The only thing that can really draw attention to an experienced player is the fact that he wins and then stops. He doesn't hang out and continue playing because he or she is "out to have a night out of betting." If professional gamblers want to entertain themselves, they go see a show or a movie. "I had three or four hundred, but I lost everything back." You will never have a professional make a claim like that. If someone is gambling to make money they will see that 3-4 hundred is a good income and it will soon be gone.

Professional gamblers are guerrilla fighters. They're not there to race. The professional is there to be successful. It's not long before they win or lose, and certainly not every day. They might be able to catch a winning streak, but the pros will be aware of that streak and ride up to the very conclusion. But most of the time, the play of a professional lasts only long enough for them to make the days profit or to lose the maximum amount for the day. If a professional makes a huge profit, there is no chance that the casino would see that money again. The casino can't afford losing the pro.

As far as systems go professionals are far too intelligent to believe there is really a system that can consistently beat casinos, no matter which game you're playing. The most successful strategies and betting methods will be used by professional gamblers in order to increase their chances of winning. There are a few decisions to be made during play. Most of the decisions of pros are taken before they even begin the game. They will stick with their primary strategies and betting methods or progressions. It is unlikely to see the pros "chase his winnings." games online are able to and will take occasionally losses. It happens. I like to compare the professional gambler with salespeople who work on commission. There will be days that you'll make no profits or even lose money if you consider travel costs... Instead, the skilled gambler learns to view the totality of his play. It's not "how much did I win or lose today?" It's more of "How far am I ahead of next month or the in the coming year?"

I'd like to add a comment here about professional poker players. They're a class of their own! Some poker players don't consider themselves to be gamblers. These poker players consider poker to be an activity that requires skill, and they're highly proficient. Professional poker players is not the same as what I wrote earlier.
