Alternatively, if it is in a pillow case, gently wiggle the body out so that it is partially covered. Keep the pillowcase on the ground and move away. The linen may be reclaimed as soon as the snake has fled.
A large trash can may be the best choice if the above method seems too direct. Place the bin on the ground and use the broom to direct the snake inside. Make sure you don't hit or push the snake inside. Snakes will not be able to climb out of the bin because it has smooth sides.
A shirt and a pillowcase can be used to remove a snake that is inside the house. Your shirt or light blanket can be placed over the snake and scooped up, then placed into the pillowcase. Use a garbage can or large storage bin to place the pillowcase inside so the snake can come out if desired. The lid should have holes for air flow. The snake is now ready to be transported.
