The term nakshatra in astrology specifically represents the lunar part in Vedic astrology. According to Indian astrology, there are total 360 degrees in the zodiac. There are specifically 27 constellations or constellations in it. Thus, each Nakshatra is 13 degrees and 20 minutes. Thereafter each Nakshatra is divided equally into Charan or Pada, each Nakshatra having 4 Pada. All these 27 constellations together complete a circle of 360 degrees of the zodiac.

Ashwini, Bharani, Krittika, Rohini, Magashira, Adra, Punarvasu, Pushya, Ashlesha, Magha, Poorvaphalguni, Uttaraphalguni, Hasta, Chitra, Swati, Visakha, Anuradha, Jyeshtha, Mool, Poorvashadha, Uttarashadha, Shravan, Dhanishtha, Poorvabhadrapada, Uttarabhadrapada and Revathi.
