A Night of Peace Chapter 1-The beginning. It was yet a day not to miss, a storm that changed our lives, Hurricane Katrina. That day I was working my office job as senior manager. I looked out my window and saw a prodigious gust of wind, I knew that I, Maxwell Taylor could stop it once and for all. The wind came closer and closer, whoosh, bam, things were flying off the streets, before I knew it. Bang, a wooden plank hit my office window, " Ow that hurt". I said when a piece of metal flew through the window. The apocalypse was beginning and I had to save my country. Chapter 2- The Worst Day Ever. It was terrifying, I was running through the wind to save my friends and family when I saw my friend, Jacob Green. "Hey, help I'm falling", said Jacob as he was blowing away. His girlfriend Rachel was keeping cover under the office's doorway. "Ah, I'm scared, help Jacob, help Max". I run with Jake towards Rachel, " Are you okay"? I said, "Yeah, I'm okay". We sprint to her house and find her brother Micah in the window rushing to the door. Chapter 3-Safe Indoors I was telling him what had happened earlier today." Wow" he said, " I'm surprised you are still alive, I was worried about you". Micah and Rachel's dad Noah said, " What are Max and Jake doin' here so early today, oh wait there is a tornado outside, well I am sure glad you are safe". We asked if he could call our parents and tell them were here and if we can stay the night, he said yes. He grabbed his phone and called my sister Ally, she said she would talk to mom and my half-brother Samuel about it and let us know their response. They didn't really mind, though.
