A Guide To Playing Texas Hold'em Poker

The showdown is where players can use their remaining pockets cards and three community card to form the best five-card poker hand. However, players also have the option of using one of their two pocket cards and four of their community cards. Players can also choose five community cards to represent their hand. Discarding one of your pocket cards creates an extra strategic dimension to this poker variation.

This is the basic distinction of Texas Holdem. Playing Texas Holdem requires some mathematical skills. You need to calculate the odds of winning and decide whether to bet, raise, or fold with just your five cards.
