A festival alien first took place in California's Rachel in 2006, bringing thousands of fans from beyond the galaxy. There are multiple categories for children and adults in this country's largest festival. A judge looks for characters with unusual names and intriguing backstories. It was Diva Plavalaguna, a character in the science fiction film The Fifth Element, who topped the list.
Residents of Rachel will be able to attend the festival for free, and the Little A'Le'Inn restaurant and motel is bringing a large number of volunteers to the event. Some community members are concerned about another Festival Alien in the same neighborhood. County commissioners have contacted organizers but have not received a response.
First held in 1996, the Festival Alien was in Area 51, a town in the United States. The town's organizers say Area 51 isn't far from it, though some people believe it is a hoax. The next Festival will take place in 2020, and the organizers hope to keep it free.
Extra AF Apparel Trippy Ufo are taking steps to ensure participants have adequate amenities and aren't taken advantage of, despite the risks. Parking spots and campsites are charged, however there is no entrance fee. Costs range from $60 to $140. The event also asks for donations to ensure its success.
A festival like Festival Alien in Roswell does not charge an entrance fee. However, organizers are taking steps to ensure that festival-goers are safe.
There are still some tickets available for this free event. The Area51 Celebration, scheduled for September 19, will include a wide range of EDM performers. Additionally, there will be a broad spectrum of genres and artists from around the world at the Festival. There will be pop music, comedy, and electronica. Performers and music styles will be featured on the main stage.
