Brow lamination , what is it and how does it function?
It's the new trend that's been dubbed the "brow lamination" by all Brow lamination is the two words on every brow fan's list.


The results will speak for themselves, providing stunning brows that are fuller without the need for expensive eyebrow make-up products. After looking at the images before and after it's hard imagine that the two pictures are the same natural brows.


I decided to test the treatment to the test under the guise of beauty journalism. After going through many Treatwell listings, booked myself in with Thea Beauty in London.

What is brow lamination?



"Brow lamination" involves straightening and lifting hairs by using chemicals, which lets the hairs have more flexibility when they move into your desired shape that covers any gaps or unfinished areas my therapist Thea clarifies.


After your natural hair brows will be straightened. A fixing solution is used to maintain the straightness of your hair as well as to provide applying a tint, if required. The result is more voluminous brows which remain in place when bent into shape. The procedure lasts approximately six weeks.


Before you undergo the procedure prior to the procedure, you need to make sure you'll get the results you're looking for. Social media is your best friend here - I chose Thea because her Instagram photos of her work were a reflection of what I wanted for my brows.



What's the difference between brow lamination and microblading?



While microblading entails your therapist using semi-permanent dyes to make your eyebrows appear fuller, brow lamination straightens out and lifts your natural hairs to achieve your brows looking full and feathered that isn't tattooed.

Brow lamination both before and after




My natural brows (left) weren't quite as sloppy than they should be but I'd never have guessed that I could have enough hair to cause the 'after' shot above. The redness that surrounds my brow in the photo on the right due to the fact that I had stray hairs that were waxed and tweezed. They fell off quickly after I left the salon.




Brow lamination aftercare




For during the initial 24 hours following the treatment, it's essential to keep your brows completely dry and not touch them. Following that, Thea advised me to keep the area moisturised and moisturized with an oil or cream.



What is the cost of the cost of brow lagging?





Brow-laminations can range between PS45 and PS100. Prices vary based on where you're situated, who is performing the procedure and whether they charge additional fees for other services like tinting.


I'll definitely be returning to see if I can get more brow laser treatments later on to keep my eyebrows looking fuller and more feathered. They're not going to lie about the results!
