Brow lamination : what is it, and how is it done?
It's a hot new procedure that everybody wants to try: brow lamination are the two words that are on every brow fan's list.


The results are clear, and give fuller-looking brows without the need for expensive eyebrow make-up products. When you see the before and after pictures it's hard for you imagine that the two pictures are identical to the natural brows of the person in both.


I decided to test the treatment challenge in the name beauty journalism. I did so after looking through several Treatwell listings, I booked in at Thea Beauty in London.

What is brow lamination?



"Brow Lamination" involves straightening, and lifting the hairs with an chemical solution that makes the hairs more flexibility to move them in the direction you want that covers any gaps or uneven areas my therapist Thea discusses.


Once your natural brow hairs get straightened up, a fixing solution is used to keep the hairs straight, as well as any tint you would like. The result is brows with more volume which remain in place when straightened, lasting about six weeks.

Brow lamination before and after





My natural brows (left) tend to not to look as sparse in the way they used to, however I'd never imagined that I was able to have enough hair to create the 'after' shot above. The redness on my brow in the image on the right comes due to having hairs scattered around which were waxed and tweezed. The redness disappeared quickly after my leave from salon.

In within the first two weeks following the treatment, it's essential to keep your brows completely dry and not touch them. After this, Thea advised me to keep the area moisturised by applying cream or oil.



How much will eyebrow lamination cost?





The cost of a brow-lamination ranges between PS45 to PS100. Prices will vary depending on where you're located, which company does the work and if they charge an extra fee for any add-ons, like tinting.


I'll definitely come back for more brow-lamination treatments in future to keep my brows looking full and feathered. The results are undisputed!
