Brow lamination , what is it, and how does it work?
It's the latest trend which everyone wants to experience eyebrow lamination. They are the two words on all brow lovers' lips.


The results appear to be the proof of the pudding, with fuller-looking brows without the need for expensive eyebrow products. If you look at images before and after it's hard for you to believe they're the same person's natural brows.


I decided to put the treatment to the examination in the name of beauty journalism. I then, after scouring several Treatwell websites, I booked in for Thea Beauty in London.

What is brow lamination?



"Browlamination" involves straightening the hair and lifting the hairs with a chemical treatment that gives hairs more flexibility when they move to your desired form and fill in any gaps or unfinished areas my therapist Thea explained.


Once your natural brow hairs will be straightened. A fixative solution is applied to maintain the straightness of your hair in addition to any tint you would like. It results in more fuller-looking brows which stay put when smoothed into shape. It can take around six weeks.

What is the difference between microblading, brow lamination, and brows?



The therapist using semi-permanent dyes strokes to fill in your brows, Brow lamination straightens and lifts the natural hairs of your brows, resulting in a an elongated and feathered appearance and is not a tattoo process.

Brow lamination both before and after




My natural brows (left) haven't been as sparse however they can be but I'd never have guessed that there was enough hair on my head to create the 'after' picture above. The redness in my brow in the photo on the right result of stray hairs being to be waxed and tweezed. This dropped quickly when I had to go out of the salon.




Brow lamination aftercare



In within the first two weeks after the treatment, it's essential to keep your brows completely clean and avoid touching them. After that, Thea advised me to maintain the area's moisture with an oil or cream.



How much does Brow lamination cost?





Brow laminates can cost anything between PS45 up to PS100. Prices vary according to the location you're in, who will be performing the procedure and if they charge an extra fee for any extras like tinting.
