Brow lamination , what is it, and how is it done?
It's the hot new treatment that everybody wants to try Brow lamination is the two words on everyone's lips.


The results are evident, giving natural looking brows without the requirement for expensive eyebrow make-up products. If you look at images before and after it's hard to believe that both images are the same brows that a person has naturally.


I decided to put the treatment to the testing in the name beauty journalism. After perusing a few Treatwell pages, I booked for a treatment at Thea Beauty in London.

What is brow lamination?



'Brow lamination involves straightening and lifting hairs by using the use of a chemical solution. This allows hairs to have more flexibility for moving into the form you desire so that they can cover any gaps or other stray areas my therapist Thea clarifies.


After your natural eyebrow hairs have been straightened, a fixative solution is applied to maintain the straightness of your hair and add applying a tint, if required. The result is fuller-looking eyebrows that stay in place when they are brushed back into shape. The process lasts around six weeks.


Prior to the procedure it's essential to do your research to ensure your results are what you're hoping for. Social media can be your friend for this - I picked Thea because her Instagram images of her work reflect the results I desired for my eyebrows.



What's the difference between brow-lamination and microblading?



In contrast to microblading, which involves your therapist using semi-permanent dyestacks to fill in your brows brow lamination lifts and straightens your natural hairs for a hair that is full and feathery that isn't tattooed.

Brow lamination both before and after




My natural brows (left) may not be as thick in the way they used to, however I'd never have guessed that I'd had enough hair to cause the 'after' shot shown above. The redness on my brow in the picture on the right due to the fact that I had stray hairs that were waxed and tweezed. They diminished quickly after my departure from the salon.




Brow lamination aftercare



In within the first two weeks after the treatment, it's vital to keep your brows completely dry and refrain from touching them. Following brow lamination kit , Thea advised me to keep the area moisturised and moisturized with cream or oil.




What is the cost of brow lamination cost?





Brow lamination is priced between PS45 up to PS100. Prices can vary based on where you're located, which company performs the treatment , and whether they charge for any other services like tinting.


I'll definitely return for more treatments with brows in future to keep my eyebrows looking full and full. No doubt about it!
