Brow lamination - what exactly is it and how does it function?
It's a hot new procedure that everybody wants to try: brow lamination . two words on every brow-loving person's lips.


The results appear to be the proof of the pudding, with eyebrows that look fuller and more attractive without the need for expensive eyebrow products. After looking at the before and after pictures it's difficult imagine that the two pictures are similar to the natural brows of a person.


I decided to test the treatment to the test for beauty journalism. I then, after searching through a variety of Treatwell listings, I booked myself in to Thea Beauty in London.

What is brow lamination?



'Brow lamination involves straightening and lifting the hairs using the use of a chemical solution. This gives the hairs greater flexibility in moving them into the desired shape and fill in any gaps or other stray areas my therapist Thea explains.


Once your natural brow hairs were straightened and straighten, a fixing solution is applied to maintain the straightness of your hair in addition to applying a tint, if required. The result is fuller-looking eyebrows that remain in place even after they are they are brushed back into shape. The process lasts around six weeks.


Before the procedure it's essential to take your time to research the procedure to ensure getting the results that you're seeking. Social media is your friend and I chose Thea because her Instagram images of her work showed exactly what I wanted for my brows.



What's the difference between microblading and brow lamination?



The therapist using semi-permanent dyes to make your eyebrows appear fuller, brow lamination straightens and lifts the natural hairs that you have to get a smooth and full-bodied look and is not a tattoo process.

Brow lamination prior to and after




My natural eyebrows (left) tend to not to look as sloppy like they might be however I wouldn't have believed that there was enough hair in my brows to make the 'after' shot above. The redness on my brow in the photo on the right due to stray hairs being tweezed and waxed, and it went away quickly once my leave from salon.




Brow lamination for aftercare



For your first couple of days following your treatment, you must to keep your brows clean and avoid touching them. After this, Thea advised me to keep the area moisturised by applying an oil or cream.



What is the cost of the cost of brow printing?





Brow lasers cost anything between PS45 to PS100. Prices can differ depending on where you're situated, who performs the treatment and if they charge extra for any accessories, such as tinting.


I'll definitely come back to have more brow lamination treatments for the foreseeable future to keep the eyebrows looking fuller and fuller. It's not hard to see the results!

White surgical marker



The purpose of this marker is to identify surgical incisions or anatomical sites on the skin of patients prior to surgery in order to aid in correct site surgery. Sterile and prepared-to-use surgical marks include a 6-" ruler and six sterilized labels. A variety of sizes for tipping are available for different staff requirements as well as surgery needs. Gentian violet ink is safe for use on all skin types and is hypoallergenic.
