Sariagri - Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Barat berhasil mencapai target penanaman 50 juta pohon dalam satu tahun ini melalui Gerakan Tanam dan Pelihara Pohon di Lahan Kritis Kabupaten Kota se-Jawa Barat. Hingga 30 November 2021, kontribusi bibit yang sudah tersebar yaitu 52.323.425 bibit.
“Alhamdulillah 52 juta pohon. Kurang dari sebulan ada tambahan 10 juta pohon,”ujar Kepala Dinas Kehutanan Provinsi Jawa Barat Epi Kustiawan.
Pada akhir pekan kemarin, Dinas Kehutanan Provinsi Jawa Barat merayakan keberhasilan tersebut dengan melakukan penanaman pohon di Sumedang. kementerian kehutanan Menurut Epi, kenaikan signifikan ini terjadi karena warga mulai menanam pohon secara masif sejak Oktober kmudian ditambah November dan Desember ini merupakan Bulan Menanam Pohon Nasional.

“Bulan Oktober, November dan Desember adalah bulan saatnya penanaman,”ucapnya.Menurut Epi, program sejenis akan dilanjutkan pada tahun 2022 sehingga menjadikan Jawa Barat sebagai Green Province. “Tahun 2022, 50 juta juga mengingat semangat masyarakat Jabar menanam sangat luar biasa, semangat kolaborasi pentahelix,”ujarnya.Dia menambahkan, tercapainya 50 juta pohon selama setahun ini tak lepas dari dukungan kepimpinan Gubernur Jabar, Wagub Jabar, Sekda juga para esselon II Pemprov Jabar, serta Bupati/Walikota yang juga luar biasa dukungannya.
