201 Ways to Max Your Rewards: A blog around how to maximize your flight rewards with Spirit Airlines
1. Intro

The most exciting part of American Airlines’ (ASK) American Express Card is that you can earn miles for almost anything you do on the plane!
American Airlines offers a variety of programs that let you earn AAdvantage miles for virtually anything you do. Here are some of the many ways to use the miles from this program:
*Check In – Check In happens when you use your card at check-in kiosks, airport ticketing machines, or through the in-flight check-in process. You can earn 1 mile per $1 spent (one mile per $1 spent for cash and travelers checks, one mile per $1 spent for purchases made with American Express Cards, and one mile per $1 spent for purchases made with credit cards).
*Flight – Flight Miles will be earned when American Airlines books flights and charges the right amount to your card. We recommend checking our flight purchases page regularly to see how much money we charge your card each time we book a flight.
*Offer – Offer Miles are earned by participating in various promotions, booking flights through American Airlines' Online Travel Agency (OTA), purchasing airline tickets through OTA, paying your AAdvantage membership fees, paying hotel stays with points on your account, and any other activity that earns AAdvantage miles.
*Passenger – Passenger Miles are earned when American Airlines flies passengers onboard America's fleet of aircrafts. You can also earn Passengers Miles by flying on partner airlines or using partner frequent flyer programs like British Airways Executive Club or Lufthansa's Eurowings.
*Purchase – Purchase Miles are earned by making a purchase on American Airlines' website or by contacting Customer Service directly using their online form. They also work on purchases made online in-store or at an airport terminal kiosk using your AAdvantage card. Please note: Purchase Miles do not stack with pre-paid travel credit cards and cannot be used towards future ticket purchases; however, they can be used towards future travel with credit cards that offer full value rewards (American Express Cards).
*Rewards Redemption – Rewards Redemption Points are earned when passengers use their points to purchase qualifying items at participating retailers like Target stores operated by American Airlines' Star Alliance partners United Airlines and Alaska Air Group. The number of Rewards Redemption Points is based on the dollar amount of each transaction and is calculated as 1 point for every $2 spent. Some examples include: Spend $20 at Target Get 15 Rewards Redemption

2. How to use American Airlines miles for flights

Frequently Asked Question: Are Spirit Airlines miles worth it?
Q: When flying American Airlines, can I use my AAdvantage miles to fly with other airlines?
A: Yes! You can use your AAdvantage miles on most American Airlines flights, including flights on partners like British Airways, Cathay Pacific and Finnair. You can also use your miles for partner flights to Hawaii and the Caribbean. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and see new places, but you're not required to book through American Airlines or any partner airline. If you're not sure if you'll be able to use your AAdvantage miles for a particular flight, speak with your travel agent or call (800) 543-7275 for more information. (This number is available 24 hours per day.)
Q: Do all the benefits of using American Airlines AAdvantage miles go away when I fly with other airlines?
A: Yes, a portion of the benefits of using AAdvantage will be lost when you fly on partners like British Airways and Finnair. However, there are still some great benefits of flying on American Airlines, including free checked bags and priority boarding on every flight that flies to the U.S.. The most important benefit is that AAdvantage is one of the best mileage programs out there because it allows you to redeem miles at almost any time during the year! We want you to maximize those rewards so they can become part of your trip experience! If you need help choosing which flight routes are right for your travel plans this month or next year, read more about how we plan our award space in our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page , just under FAQ #12 .
Q: Why does my listing show that I have an open ticket?
A: An open ticket represents a flight booked through our booking system but not yet paid for by us. It shows that we have received confirmation from your travel agent that they will be sending us payment within 12 months from now. We won't send you an email confirming this until at least mid-June when we expect all these new flights (and travel itineraries) will have been confirmed and paid for by their airlines. Once we receive payment from your travel agent as well as confirmation from them that they are sending us payment before mid-July , we then send you an email letting you know how many points you've earned toward future flights booked through American Express Membership Rewards® credit cards or by

3. Tips on using AA Miles

In this post, I will be discussing the best ways to use American Airlines miles. I have found that the easiest way to use miles is by simply booking flights with them. In order to use American Airlines miles, you need to have a special account on their website. Once you have that account created, you will then be able to transfer your AA miles into it. This is a great way to earn free flights and get access to American Airlines frequent flyer programs and airline lounges.
There are several ways in which you can use AA miles for the purpose of travel. You can take advantage of them for travel through any carrier, namely choosing United Airlines or Southwest Airlines as your carrier of choice (respectively). You can also use these miles for elite status if you are flying a certain number of premium economy seats on United or Delta AAdvantage accounts (respectively). Another great way in which you can utilize American Airlines miles is through hotel reservations or lounge admissions for dinner and drinks at local restaurants and hotels using your AA Miles (the exact amount varies depending on the price of your ticket). However, this is not an efficient method because it requires extra work on your part when compared with just booking the flight through their site itself.
If you are interested in taking advantage of having a private jet, then you would be better off booking such air travel with one of their charter plane services instead (there are several that they provide online). If you want your thoughts on otherwise complex matters to be heard by millions, then I suggest trying our blog platform by signing up for our newsletter .

4. How to use AA Miles for travel and merchandise

If you have used American Airlines miles before, you know that they are a very useful tool for redeeming for travel, upgrades and merchandise. With a little planning, you can maximize the value of your miles to get the most bang for your buck.
This blog will focus on how to use AAdvantage miles to maximize your travel and merchandise.
AAdvantage is an airline program with the same miles you would use with another airline program (e.g., Delta SkyMiles or United MileagePlus). Through AAdvantage, you earn two types of miles:
1) AA Miles: These are the ubiquitous redeemable for travel and merchandise through American Airlines when you book (e.g., flights or upgrades). When making reservations (airline tickets, car rentals or hotels), American Airlines uses AA Miles rather than its own miles because it prefers to collect fees from other airlines' customers – thus earning more money from them. The higher the number of AA Miles in a reservation, the higher the fees collected per passenger by American Airlines.**
2) Dividends: These are normally not valid for travel but can be redeemed for merchandise through American Airlines when purchased through authorized retail stores (e.g., Nordstrom). When making reservations (airline tickets, car rentals or hotels), American Airlines uses Dividends rather than its own miles because it prefers to collect fees from other airlines' customers – thus earning more money from them.**
*** If there are too many AA Miles in a reservation, then AAdvantage charges a $10 fee per waybill per day; otherwise it charges $0 regardless of how many AAdvantage Miles were used in that reservation or how many destinations and dates were booked on it; but if there are only one to three AAdvantage Miles in a reservation, then it charges $0 regardless of how many destinations and dates were booked on it; but if there are four or more AAdvantage Miles in a reservation then it charges $10 regardless of how many destinations and dates were booked on it.
*** As mentioned above, if there is too little time for flight arrangements being made at certain time ranges on certain days, then there may be some fees which need to be paid by customer/airline/resort operator to get those extra minutes added back into schedule; otherwise no additional fees will be charged if flight arrangements take place within 24 hours after check-in time that day at certain time ranges on certain days;

5. Using AA miles for upgrades

We’ve always made it easy to redeem American Airlines miles for travel. But now, we’re making it even easier by offering American Airlines AAdvantage® Credit Card Members up to four free upgrades with each one-time use of the Airline Miles Redeeming Perks feature (upgrades must be purchased between 4/16/17 – 4/22/17) .
Here are some tips for using the Perks feature:
1. Book your first trip with AAdvantage® credit card Members 2. Use the Perks feature to book a flight on any non-stop or non-stop connecting flight. 3. Book your second and third trip within 48 hours of your first. 4. Use the Perks feature to book a flight on any non-stop or non-stop connecting flight as often as you like!
