How to keep bored at bay while working all night as a security guard in an underground facility

It's tough times. It's difficult to navigate the new gig economy. I used to do very well prior to the pandemic, but now, in addition to my primary job as dental assistant I need to take on a night-time position as security guard at a nearby machine manufacturing plant. Most of the work is controlled by computers. There are some workers in the daytime, but only me and two engineers are on the night crew. I have an emergency phone number to call in case of an accident, or when machinery stops working. After that, I call engineers and/or the outside line to find more engineers. I'm not doing anything. It's because they're not generating any value in this regard. So night guard is really an unimportant switchboard operator.

It's quiet, and I actually like it. It's quiet. Although I'm a sleepy person, I find it quite spooky. I find it boring to spend the night and experiment with new ideas to help it go by faster. I've spent the last two weeks perfecting a dance I observed on Tik Tok. It's easy, but it's hard to replicate the dance. The dance was developed by a girl who was a teenager on Tik Tok. I don't know what to describe this dance. I'm too old.

I've been experimenting with various car repair videos lately. While I'm not sure what to do with my vehicle right away, I enjoy watching others have their cars appear to be impossible to stop. Same goes for any DIY videos - they're usually informative and easy to view. Another issue was that it occurred. My internet went down shortly enough for me to be capable of viewing any kind of content or access the internet in any other way. I found out the method to download Youtube videos onto my phone. After that, even though the internet was off for hours, I could quickly watch DIY videos on my phone. It doesn't matter whether you're watching the video on the phone, whether you stream it from an online site or online, or if you download video at home, and then play it back on your phone when there's no internet access or wifi. My pure delight in streaming new episodes and films directly to my laptop is proof of the power of television. I took my laptop to work due to its bigger screen as well as superior speakers. There are a lot of informative or just fascinating resources that I can download at home, and then take to work. My son sometimes goes in my office with me for work. There are days when my wife works nights shifts, and it is difficult for us to stay at home with our children. So, I bring my son along and put him right by the screens on my computer that I keep an eye on. He is asleep in a matter of minutes. When he awakes I offer him my laptop and some of the music videos I just downloaded. He's happy, and I'm also happy to do my thing using my mobile. This is how we get along better as a couple, when we each do our own thing. But he seems to like being with me, perhaps because he stays all night, isn't it the kind of thing kids would like to do?
