Bring your tablet, laptop, and sometimes your smartphone along with you on your camping trip with your children.

This is something I've learned through trial and error. My mother is a constant cheerleader throughout the week in encouraging me to plan and keep in mind this. I shared my excitement about going on my first camping trip ever with my kids and her grandkids. And here she was exhaling and puffing up with instructions and advice on every aspect. I don’t mind my mom’s talking. However, listening to her lectures can make things uncomfortable. So I tried to conclude the entire thing faster than I should. This was a big error that I realized the next day...or two.

We drove out with the car, with plans to take it all to the campground. In order to recreate the rural environment my father experienced back in the past I decided to go to an undiscovered spot that would turn out to be later, was out of service. It meant our smartphones were not working and we were the only camping campers in the region. It's not a problem, I had hoped for an incredible time off work for three days in the wilderness, with nature.. However, we returned to our vehicles to return home, just 24 hours after our camping trip began.
What did you do? We didn't have bars or Internet access or even nothing. I had a laptop and a handful of games online. It didn't even make it out of my bag. I had a nice background ready to view my projector which I brought with me to create big-screen effects films. There was no Internet access to Hulu, Netflix, or Disney+. All they wanted was to check their email, check their texts and school issues, etc. I couldn't take this anymore and we packed for the return trip. My children made sounds that resembled to little piglets munching delicious food after they came out from the internet-free zone. I really cherish my children. But, it was embarrassing. They squealed and groaned as their phones started beeping to announce text messages that were coming in.

Since then, I've learned to prepare better and try not to be in an internet-free zone with no roaming. When we took an extended boat ride towards our destination, I discovered myself in need of my two most trusted companions which included two tablets as well as an laptop. They included Hulu streaming video at one end, Netflix movies, and shows on the opposite. The laptop had music videos, as well with some films that I have downloaded to view later using Hulu as well as Netflix apps through the Windows app store. I have 600 hours of content, which includes all seasons of Will & Grace, Friends, South Park and other episodes.
For kids I have a collection of videos with amusing things. I downloaded a few music videos from Youtube, converted some to mp3 and mp4 format to listen or watch. A few of the videos I downloaded help this web app, it allows me to get the video directly onto my laptop, and then I can watch it easily at any time with no Internet and just provide me with an electric source if you need to recharge. I DVR a lot of TV shows or movies and even seminars on the internet. The video files are saved as MP4 on my laptop. Then, I play them back later with VLC or KMP.

4k is another feature that I insist upon. Have you ever seen? The video is clear and incredible. I can strongly recommend. TVs with 4K picture have great software inside the TV that process that image and enhances it. upscales it and makes it more appealing. Old video footage is converted into smooth and modern video. Highly recommending to all the young and old!
