Spirit Airlines Blog: A blog about the best deals at Spirit Airlines, double points and travel tips.
1. Intro

Spirit Airlines is the world’s largest airline. They fly on some of the most scenic routes in the world. Spirit is popular for having premium food and drinks, lounges, and fancy seats. Spirit is also known for its stunning artworks on its planes, as well as its ability to provide rebooking deals.
Many people may not know that Spirit Airlines flies out of San Francisco International Airport (SFO), but they are an important part of Southern California’s economy. The airline has a long history in Southern California, having started around 1965 when it was named Pacific Southwest Airlines (PSA). It was purchased by Continental Airlines in 1976 and later bought by Alaska Air Group (Alaska) in 1994. After Alaska bought Spirit, they retained ownership and control over the airline through their subsidiary JetBlue Airways Corporation until 2015, when they were purchased by International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), a company owned by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK-A).
The airline owns numerous aircraft types such as Boeing 737-800 aircraft, Bombardier CRJ200 planes, Embraer ERJ-145 regional jets and Airbus A320 airplanes. All of these aircraft types have experienced multiple crashes with airliners being destroyed during commercial operations. This is why it is important to pay attention to flight status information of airlines that you decide to use for your trips onto different destinations such as planes that have been destroyed or sustained major damage during flight operations.
Generally speaking, airlines can be divided into two categories: ‘full service’ airlines and ‘partner airlines’. Full service airlines provide passengers with complete service including meals and drinks on board their aircrafts while passenger fares depend on how many passengers are on board at any given time. Partner airliners include flights operated by different carriers under one brand or business unit such as Allegiant Air between Las Vegas and Orlando which are operated under one brand or business unit including American Airlines from Washington D.C., United Airlines from New York City to Dallas/Fort Worth which are operated under one brand or business unit including Delta Airlines Incorporated from Atlanta to Minneapolis/St Paul which are operated under one brand or business unit including Frontier Airlines from Denver to Chicago O’Hare which are operated under one brand or business unit including JetBlue Airways Corporation between New York JFK Airport and New York LaGuardia Airport which are operated under one brand or business unit like Virgin Atlantic Airways between London

2. Top 10 US Airline Rankings: Spirit Airlines placed eighth on list of best U.S. airlines

Spirit Airlines is a low-cost airline based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and serving to destinations in the United States and Canada.
It is the first airline to be awarded three consecutive "Top 10 Best U.S. Airline Rankings" from TPG (Travellers’ Choice Awards) for three consecutive years from 2011 to 2012, 2013 to 2014 and 2015 to 2016.
In 2018 Spirit Airlines became the only airline to receive four consecutive Top 10 Best U.S. Airline Rankings titles from 2017-2018, with their most recent being #5 on the list, with a total of five Top 10 Best U.S. Airline Rankings titles in that time frame.

3. Spirit Airlines Baggage Drop Lines

Spirit Airlines is a U.S. low-cost carrier based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Founded in 1997, Spirit Airlines has expanded its network over the years, and now serves 21 cities across the United States and Canada.
Spirit Airlines is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale and operates out of three hubs: Denver International Airport (DEN), Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Houston/Boeing Field (HOU). Spirit flies a fleet of Airbus A320 family aircraft with 19-seat Business Class; 17-seat Premier Class; 15-seat Economy Class; 9-seat First Class; 7-seat Premium Economy Class; 3-class Coach; 1st & 2nd class exit rows for all flights. In addition to its main hub at DFW, Spirit also operates from other major airports including San Francisco International Airport (SFO), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Reagan National Airport (LGA).
The airline was named after the spirit of American pioneer aviator Charles Lindbergh, better known as The Spirit of St. Louis, who led his “Spirit of St. Louis” flight across the Atlantic Ocean on May 20th 1927 on an Douglas DC2 aircraft from New York City to Paris. At that time it was one of the world’s most expensive commercial flights ever made – costing $1 million compared to today’s $100 million average cost per seat – but it revolutionized air travel by using technology to make it accessible to millions of Americans for the first time. Since then, the airline has been known for its innovative marketing campaigns like “Spirit the Brand” which aimed at creating awareness among consumers about giving back to nature through flying while encouraging people to fly more often by emphasizing environmental stewardship with special offers such as a 40% off sale during regular check-in hours, special discounts on flights within Texas and a special 50% off sale during launch times for new customers.
The airline is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale with 3 principal locations: Denver International Airport — DEN, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport — DFW & Houston/Boeing Field — HOU

Spirit airline disability assistance are also one of my favorite companies to do a research paper on, as they have such a great culture and brand that they don’t sacrifice on anything.
