Things to consider when flying: A blog idea around the dos and don'ts of flying and airport hacks.
1. First-Class Etiquette Dos & Don'ts

I’m not a first-class guy. I don’t rub elbows with the upper crust, in fact, I’d rather not even see them. Why?
It’s simple: when flying first-class, you get treated like royalty for the price of a way-below-minimum wage. First-class passengers are treated like kings. You get free meals, free beverages, free snacks, free internet access (for years now), and the list goes on.
Sounds great? It doesn’t have to be this way: First-Class Etiquette Dos & Don'ts
First-Class Etiquette Dos & Don'ts 1) Spirit Airlines doesn't give a flying **** about you or your needs. A) Their plane is small enough that any seat is better than any other seat in economy class – just because it's your first time doesn't mean you should be treated like a pauper First-Class Etiquette Dos & Don'ts 2) You're expected to pay for everything including food and drinks - You will NOT be given anything for free as long as there are paying customers First-Class Etiquette Dos & Don'ts 3) Spirit Airlines expects you to buy something at least once - If they tell you to “Go buy some food or something” – do NOT comply with their request! First-Class Etiquette Dos & Don'ts 4) Spirit Airlines expects you to act like an adult - Yes, they want you to behave like a child and act young First-Class Etiquette Dos & Don'ts 5) Spirit Airlines expects money in hand - They expect cash at the check in counter and they expect nothing less than cash at the gate! First-Class Etiquette Dos & Don'ts 6) Spirit Airlines expect you to have no luggage - Even if your bags arrive before boarding time, don’t let them see anything until it comes through baggage claim First-Class Etiquette Dos & Don'ts 7) They expect to make money off YOU - This is their job and it's what makes them successful – don't be rude or disrespectful when dealing with them First-Class Etiquette Dos & Don'ts 8) Be polite but firm when dealing with staff members at check in counters - They need help dealing with people every day – being respectful keeps them happy!

2. Tips for First-Class Travelers

Is Spirit Airlines, the first- and only airline in the world that charges a $5 per bag fee, justified? Yes. But only in the sense that they are offering a service that is otherwise unavailable at other airlines.
There is no doubt that Spirit Airlines is an incredible airline — on par with JetBlue or Southwest — but there’s also no doubt that its fees are outrageous.
This is not to say that Spirit doesn’t do anything right (they do) but rather that they are charging a fee for something usually available elsewhere.
I remember when I first started flying with Spirit back in 2009; it was a simple idea: if you were willing to pay a little more to get an extra leg room, you could sit behind someone who paid $30 more for their ticket. It was such an easy way to change up your travel experience and give you more value for your money.
Fast forward nearly four years, and there still isn't another company charging $5 per bag anywhere near as much as Spirit does. Every time I’m flying with them now, I always ask whether any of the other airlines charge this much (which is true), and ask them why they don’t have these same kind of charges (which is also true). They reply “We will have to look into it… we are looking into it".
While new people do start flying Spirit Airlines all the time, this practice has become so ubiquitous now that if you ever want to fly through Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) without paying $5 per bag fee, be prepared to wait in line for at least an hour or more until your plane comes around 0500 hrs — most likely costing you $10+ in additional fees and taxes just for getting off the plane! As far as I know, no other airline does this. So there's nothing wrong with wanting to have some free food and water offered when flying First Class but then asking why they aren't charging the same fees as everyone else in business class? The answer is probably "We will have to look into it" because even though they've been doing this for 4 years now, they haven't taken any actions yet! It's just unconscionable... their competitors should be doing something similar by now instead of having people wait in long lines just so they can get some free food & water offered at every airport they fly out of! As Spirit airline reservations as I love

3. What to Do If You Find an Unclaimed Snack in Coach

While the delights of flying on Spirit Airlines (I’ve used the airline quite a bit) are truly irresistible, it is important to take some precautions to ensure your personal items aren’t ruined by baggage fees, damage, or theft.
Spirit Airlines first-class passengers have some extra perks when compared to other class sizes, including personal staterooms and meal service. However, if you don’t want a meal service blanketed by fees, don’t fly in first class.
First-class passengers must pay for personal items such as carry-on luggage and carry-on bags. Spirit Airlines charges a fee for each bag that exceeds the size limit of their standard bags. However, you still have control over which items you bring on your flight so long as they do not exceed those limits.
If you are flying with a large bag (greater than 50 pounds), you may elect to pay the standard fee per bag ($9), or opt for a "Go Bag" that costs $2 extra per item. If you're flying with just one item (those 50 pound limit bags), no fee will be charged ($10). These Go Bag options are available only at travel centers and airport check-in counters at major airports in the United States only. If you decide to purchase one of these Go Bags, remember that travel agents cannot accept responsibility for any lost or stolen Go Bag(s). For more information on purchasing a Go Bag, please visit SpiritCares website here .
If your luggage does not fit into one of these standard bags, you may be able to book an Extra Large Baggage Allowance ("XLBA") which is an additional charge per bag ($35) for all checked baggage except carry-on baggage.. This option requires full payment prior to boarding (to reserve an XLBA passenger must book through travel agents or through Spirit Airlines themselves), and allows full access to all First Class seats during check-in with no restrictions on what can be carried as checked baggage on board. Travel agents can also help travelers select their XLBA based on preference and/or weight loss needs. Although there is currently no online booking system available for XLBA passengers who would prefer not to pay the fee up front . Also note that if your checked baggage exceeds 50 pounds in weight it will incur an additional charge of $35 for each piece of excess baggage above 50 pounds in weight; this provision does not apply if traveling with a Go Bag

4. Why You Should Always Accept Snacks in First-Class

As a former flight attendant, I can tell you that passengers know better than to take a cream puff or two of chocolates with them on the flight. If you want to be served free snacks and drinks on your flight, then there are several ways to do so:
1. Accept the food in First-Class cabin
2. Accept the food in Economy cabin
3. Accept the food in Business cabin
4. Accept the food in Coach cabin (if there is one)
5. Don't accept food

5. Concluding Thoughts on Snacks & Class Seating

When I first started flying Spirit Airlines, I was shocked and appalled to learn that the snacks were not only in all classes, but also in first-class. Why would anyone do that?
I have been on Spirit nearly a decade now, and have found that it is a great place to take a break from the monotony of a long flight. When you arrive at your destination airport, you are greeted by the friendly spirit staff who will point you to your gate; it is all very laid back and low stress. And who doesn’t like free food?
But there are downsides too. At least once every two weeks, a black cab will drop me off outside my gate at baggage claim. If I am going to be late for work because of my time difference with Europe, then I have to pay $30 for this cab ride, which is still cheaper than flying Spirit Airlines.
To clarify: no one likes flying full-price ($3 billion/year), but if you do not want to pay for Spirit’s perks and can instead save money on flights (like me!), then first-class flights are an option. What’s more, as a freebie, when I return home from Europe, I get two free seats in which I can sit with friends or colleagues instead of having to fly coach or pay more for upgrades. This is awesome!
What are some things people don't consider when deciding whether they should fly Spirit's premium economy class or not? Bags: You can bring any bag you want unless it exceeds 55 pounds; however, if you decide against traveling with an oversized bag and choose first-class instead of premium economy and exceed 55 pounds (including checked bags), then you'll be charged $50 for extra weight on top of what's charged for each bag—a $100 ticket per carry-on weight and $200 per checked bag .
Spirit Airlines has yet experienced any major disruptions on flights due to mechanical failures or weather delays; however, there are numerous times when mechanical failures occur due to human error by flight attendants who try their best but often fail in handling the situation — especially during busy periods like Christmas season and New Year's Eve when many people have family gatherings at home. They do their best but fail sometimes due to human error by flight attendants—and there's nothing they can do about it! So although they don't experience disruptions like Delta Air Lines or United Airlines do because they're "state
