My story isn't particularly long. I was born, went through school, got a job, and then finally found some information online. It also has some difficult moments when I thought that everything was over. One of those moments was when my laptop computer went completely in silence. After some fiddlingaround, shifting my old desktop to the new one, and a bit more tinkering I was successful in restoring all the work that was stored on the drive. It took me 3 days of sweat and cry... however, I did learn one thing. Dropbox and my personal FTP server will be able to backup automatically and manually my entire workday to ensure that my work is not lost.
It's not the ideal option. The more information you store on the internet, the more it costs to keep everything up and running. It is easy to use and appears very safe. It's also accessible, and it can be downloaded from any location that has internet. But what happens if you don't have access to the internet? Those times I am happy having my laptop around with me. It is my last refuge to backup my data. Two drives I own that I utilize as RAID stacks. They both copy one another and have a backup in the event that one of my HDDs is damaged. Because I rarely copy the contents of my laptop, I have made it so that two drives don't get separated at once.
My other big day of sadness was few months ago.. I take care not to lose all of my work, as I said earlier, I now duplicate it many times and can access it wherever internet is available. It was Periscope. I was a frequent user several years ago as well as this summer 2020 during riots I did a few live streams.. And all of suddenly Periscope TV is closing, and all the videos will be gone in a two weeks. What do I do now? If I want to save these videos on my laptop offline I need to download the entire collection. Those are very dear to me. It's also the last time I've been hanging with my friend who disappeared from the radars during Covid and it appears to have gotten him..
It's a website I utilize to download videos from Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, and other places. I'm a political activist and am involved in underground movements, which is why I film a lot of live events, then save videos for the future and then publish them on my YouTube channel and each time live is done, I backup the footage to my laptop. This is the method I use. Additionally, it lets me cross-post videos across different platforms. I can not only post YouTube videos on Facebook however, I can also upload the video to Facebook and make it an original video on its own. In reality I have over 3TB live feeds from the last 8 years. And I am not going to lose my Periscope lives.. And this site helps me a lot.
It's flawless. The video I would like to save to Periscope or Youtube is open. I copy the URL by using the share button. When I'm done I visit the site for downloading videos. After copying the URL, I press the button that's big. Within minutes, I can see a range of choices to save the video on my desktop or laptop. to share it on different platforms, as well as to keep it safe for my family and friends. Periscope is not accessible on all platforms. The site has the ability to manage m3u8 files that other sites download on behalf of you. I go to the video downloader site and paste the video's link wherever they would like it. Then, I click large button. Video doesn't download to my computer, it's on the internet and can be played online as the player loads small fragment files one by one.
Windows copy can be used to join these fragments in one file. This is due to the format used by video for creating the fragments, MpegTS, also referred to as a transport stream. Each fragment is packed with all the information required for decoding video. This allows every streamer to stream seamlessly at the beginning of the. The browser also allows you to save information because it only downloads ones which are relevant to what you're watching. For example, if you only watch only 25 seconds of the stream the player will download just 3-4 fragments. In addition, it may download the next couple of fragments. This reduces the amount of download required to watch just 25 seconds from the middle of the stream. - not having to download all 1hr of video prior to that 25sec..
