Emily, I never told you when
the day my husband died, was the same day, I made my first kill.
E: you did?
Yes, I killed the man who shot my husband, and you know what that changed?
E: what?
nothing, absolutely nothing. My husband still died, my hands still had blood on them, and I still felt the pain that his death caused me.
E: didn't it feel good
Only for a moment, but then, I came to the realization of what I had done, and that horror I felt is something that lasted much longer than a moment, by God, it still hurts to admit that I was the person who killed him.
E: But he deserved it, he was a bad man
He was not a bad man Emily, he was a man first and foremost. He was a man who had been misguided, mislead by his own ill intentions, to go down a path he never intended to go down on. My husband nearly did the same thing, it was only when he realized his error, that he set himself out to correct his own path more towards his own goals. And at the end of the day Emily, our actions show who we truly are. On that day I proved that I was no better than the man who killed my husband.


and on the day I shot him dead, was the same day I proved myself no better than the murderer of my husband.


I guess Annie's whole thing is not really moving on from Gary, but more so, realizing that him being gone is not the end of their love.


though I am gone, our love is eternal.
