How to lock a row of Excel cells

The next step after you have locked the row is to lock it. To do this, click the Locked checkbox located in the Format Cells dialog. Click the Unlocked button to unlock all cells within the sheet. You can then lock a row, column or the entire sheet. Locking your cell is easy if you are a regular user of Excel.

Excel provides several options for locking certain areas of a sheet. To freeze the first row of a sheet, you can click on the Freeze option.
