Unsure of how she had gotten there, Chiaki walks up a mountain. With every step she contemplates climbing out of the forest, but as soon as that idea enters her mind-the tree roots squeeze her more firmly in.

As she is trying to figure out how to climb the mountain without being caught, she stumbles and falls-waking up to an arrow coming at her. It's very cold down the mountain-and the archer is talking on his phone instead of tending to her wounds.

After he notices her awake and startled by him, he gets up and tends to her wounds-just before finishing their conversation with "you're just going back to your warm house". The archer has no idea where he is or how he got here himself, but promises that he will help Chiaki get home. Walking back down the mountain again, Chiaki eventually realizes where she’s seen this tree before. She gets close enough for it to be clear this was the mountain she was climbing just before she got knocked out.

Being late into work, Kana starts feeling flustered. She checks her phone to find out she has an hour until she needs to be there, and sees that she still has some time before heading in. Trying not to be a sourpuss, Kana decides to take the stairs today, but realizes that if she walks up all this way, then she'll be too tired to climb the stairs once she arrives. She decides at the last second to take an elevator and finds that only two were available of the six, and both were going down. Checking them each over while they passed one another on separate floors, Kana was relieved when they stopped on their level without her input and waited patiently in front of room to go in before finally getting inside.
