How can you keep up with the music of your country of origin even if you have lived there for the last 10+ years

How are you getting on? I am a Russki teenager who came to America for a better future. In Russia I have never been wealthy, and certainly not near the middle class. I was dirt poor. I'm not saying that about me however, my family. While I was growing up in Russia, young adults didn’t have money. Therefore, we were forced to look for other ways to make money. There were a variety of methods. They were generally like alcoholics asking friends for a few dollars to buy their vodka bottle. It's almost like that we used to look for ways to earn some dollars quickly to buy an entire loaf of bread. We would always be hungry.

So I got to America. There's nothing like New York, Brooklyn or Brighton Beach. This is a place that brings me back to my home. It's noisy and filthy People are rude, and it's full Russian speech. There are many Russian bars, restaurants, and book stores I've invested a lot of money at.

I am a huge fan of music and books. However, as of recently it's simple to find Russian books on Kindle. So I stopped buying hard copies books. My wife, who's an avid collector has a small space in her home, so I try to avoid purchasing unnecessary items. Books in stacks looks smart for a while, but after that they only looked sad, until I moved them into the garage where there's enough space for my belongings..

Music is an entirely different subject. Because I drive a lot and work in a car, it is essential that I listen to lots of music. Because I am an Russian native, there's no way for me to enjoy new music in the USA. I'm not a fan of rap, hip hop metal, rock and pop. It's all the modern music that children love to dance to. I really like old Russian music, also the jail type songs which are unique to the Russian music world. They're still very popular , even though I've been away for over twenty years. Youtube is home to everything. So I can spend hours on Youtube , listening to music when I'm working or when I come home from work.

After a while I was able to create a lengthy playlist of over 300 songs which I thoroughly like. The playlist is a precious trove of music that I listen to throughout the day. It has over 300 songs. When I want to hear them while driving but I don't have enough internet. It's vital to navigate, drive, and for my own personal enjoyment. I do everything at home. I'm in the middle of. I upload a handful of songs to Youtube as mp3 files. Following that I burn the MP3s to CDs using my computer. After that I take the disc to my car and listen. This website I found allows me to download an entire Youtube playlist and print all songs. Each song can then be converted into mp3 and stored on my computer. Once the songs are printed, it's easy to save them onto an audio CD. Sometimes, I create data discs but they won't play on the car stereo. The quality of the recorded audio is incredible. I don’t need any internet to play MP3 music. It's as simple as inserting a CDs into my stereo slot. Once I am in Manhattan the music from Russia can be heard loud and clear.

It is simple and cheap to download Youtube videos into mp3 format and save them to your Smartphone. My friend connected his smartphone to the car stereo , and it started playing excellent quality sound within a matter of seconds. The phone also streamed Spotify and Pandora radio. This doesn't require an excessive amount of internet connection. I think I'll give this a try. But of course I will be sure to use free wifi.
