The History of the Fan Tan
Fan Tan is an ancient card game in which players compete to become the first to have all the cards played. The four 7s are the only cards that can be played in the beginning. Once the 7 of each suit is played after which the 6 and 8 can be played. The next step is the A (highest) and the K (low). This is believed to be the first variant of the game. Sir Richard Williams translated it into English in 1815. The "Lord", John Murray Smith popularized it in England.

The objective is to maintain the winners in the "high sevens" and those who lose in the "low sevens,"" also called "blooms", at the beginning. After the two players have reached an impasse, they is able to replace a card in the hand with a card from the new deck. Keep doing this until all cards have been used up. Fan tan, the oldest version we have, is the version we now have.

Fan Tan is normally played in pairs or groups of two. In a group one player is considered the highest card, while the other player is the low card. The two players then alternated. Splitting the pairs into single cards is a common practice when a group is larger than four players. Each player will manage two pairs at the same time. The rule is to fix the pairs and play Fan Tan in the same method as for pairs.

In various variants of fan-tan sevens are normally played in the same way. Fan-tan allows the sevens to alternate on the table's central area instead of being placed at the edges. Fan-tans with sevens in the middle are known as fan-tans, or simply fan. They are also referred to as "smooth", or "even".

The origins of the word could be traced back to the Middle East where fans were believed to bring good luck to the person using them. The people would visit the fancan (or fantan) restaurant. In these places, people were subjected to special rituals like putting a fan on their heads and inhaling hot fumes. This might seem odd to some, but in the past people began to refer to the hot sensation as fantasan or fantine.

The popularity of fan-tans eventually increased to North America, and to some extent, Central Europe. In Portugal, for example the coins were usually printed with designs that represented the country's rich cultural. A fan-tan with the image of an olive tree or the Portuguese flag was a common option. As time passed, personal coin circulation was established. This meant that local residents could exchange their coins often from one pile to another. Coin collecting and placing coins in different piles lead to the formation of what we know today as a fan tan.

The exact roots of the game of fortune tell is not clear, but it is likely that the European fan-tan was inspired by Chinese gambling games like the Tan Na Card. 안전놀이터 The card was introduced by a Chinese general who wanted to create a bridge between the West and East. Much like the game we know today, players would stand around the Fan Tan waiting for the cards to drop in a variety of colors representing the zodiac. If the cards fell in repeated divisions, the player knew that luck was about to shift.

With the spread of gambling westerners also brought the idea of a Fan Tan to their table. Although most European players played an alternative to the Chinese games, the English and Dutch were among those who were playing with the idea of a fantasy. This version of the Chinese games usually included duels of jousting, which is essentially an adaptation of the Chinese fan-tan.
