My family loves camping and there is nothing better than it. But we always are equipped with technology.

From the beginning, I want to stress that we are an outdoor and camping outdoors-loving family. We spend as much as we can bond with nature. We have pets and dogs. We are one happy, camping family. Yet we are always clearly aware of the location we're in and how we got there, plus we know the best places to drink water, and where to spend an hour or two watching television as a family. We will not let our little pleasures go. We insist on having the generator, an 32" screen, and a good, but not too large 32" television.. People often think that we are nomads without any home land. But we live in Seattle and our father works as a lawyer for a shady company. Mother claims that's the reason the reason he goes for camping four times a month to try to scrub off the dirt from his work.. While we spend hours by the fire, we sing songs, play games and talk to each other while our cats live their lives in the vicinity. We love technology, and we cannot resist looking at our phones and tablets when we gather around the campfire. He doesn't mind much, although he has to turn off his cell phone for two days. After dinner, we enjoy watching videos on the TV or music and shows we downloaded off of the internet prior to our trip. Most of the time, we can't connect to the Internet when we are in the forest. This may be why our parents don’t mind our phones being ringing. The options for downloading from HULU are fantastic because we can watch hours of shows and movies on our laptops before departure. Series and movies are excellent for relaxing on camping trips. He can concentrate on the road and this huge vehicle is difficult to control so he must concentrate on the road.


We will continue to utilize GPS on our camping trips. It is crucial to know where you are, and to find ways to return to civilization in the event of an emergency. Our trips have not been affected by anything, but we've heard horror stories of people being buried in snow and dirt. GPS will always direct you to safety as long as safety is known. The friendly satellites in the sky also direct GPS in the right direction. Another piece of technology is used to transport us safely from and to the camping site. In case of medical emergency the helicopter could come to you while zooming through your GPS indicated location. It is also recommended to carry a GPS along on any trip that is remote.
