Don't watch any exclusive online seminar video events. Instead, you should download the video file.
This works for any live video that is restricted in duration or only available to subscribers. However, this hasn't stopped me from use. I have an extremely slow and patchy internet connection in my home. I use the WiFi hotspot at the motel across the street. At times, I deliver water to their office. Password updates are made every few weeks. I save money since I don't have to purchase my own internet. How much work is required from just having a home cable connection? There is an informative online seminar by your investment advisor, or a guest lecture by a renowned professor at my school or a streaming underground rave. My internet connection is slow, which makes it impossible to stream video. It takes me around 2 to 3 times longer to download video to my PC as I'll demonstrate below. That means my connection is only 30% faster than what I need to watch videos with no buffering interruptions, and without lag. It was so slow that my internet connection could not handle it that I discovered a way around it. I saved online video to my PC so that it could be viewed repeatedly.




This is what I've been doing lately.. I open Chrome browser. Firefox, Safari and any other browser with inspect tab. Right-click on the page, call the inspect page and then go to the network tab and search for video playlist file. It'll usually contain the extension m3u8. Sometimes it may be something else with a different extension. But, the characters will be there so it will indicate a particular playlist for the video stream. The procedure is that the video stream splits into several smaller files. The internet browser downloads them one at a time, and plays them all in order. This is a seamless procedure that requires more transfer to complete than the size of the file. This is the way mpeg stream is setup and we shouldn't be complaining.



The playlist file can be chosen by right-clicking. I copy the URL address onto the clipboard. Then, I go to the website to get online video. After I copy the URL of the playlist I press the submit button. After a short time I am able to see various download options. This will indicate file size and transfer speed. The higher the quality, the bigger the file gets. I typically choose lower quality even though it's too fast for my Internet.. Most of the time, this playlist file has several quality options to help those with slower broadband.



I have set the download of the file. Usually, it's mp4 format for video. It can take a long time, but the rewards of learning is what always drives me to complete it. I am not able to listen to the live stream , therefore saving online video to my computer makes sense. I utilize it to stay updated on all available data. It's what I do to stimulate my brain with new ideas and ideas. This is the way I bring it all to life by saving video and avoid wifi. I would recommend doing similar. There's no buffering, lagging or lag, just smooth streaming.
